THE CONCILIAR ECCLESIOLOGY OF HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH PIMEN ON THE BASIS OF HIS THEOLOGICAL HERITAGE AND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATION IN THE PARISH PRACTICE OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH

His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Pimen clearly expressed his position on international and intra-church platforms related to the understanding of the conciliarity of the Church, which, in his opinion, was inextricably linked with the idea of church renewal applicable to the practical realities of life. The study of the Patriarch's theological legacy gives reason to assert that the changes to the parish administration of the Russian Church adopted under pressure from the authorities in 1961 were also an experience of conciliarity, applicable to the circumstances of the time and changes in public consciousness. The experience of the Church was leveled due to its devastating consequences by the adoption of the Parish Charter, which restored the rights of the hierarchy, at the Local Council in 1988.
