RATING OF THE BEST SCIENTIFIC CHURCH JOURNALS IN RUSSIAN REGIONS ACCORDING TO THE "SCIENCE INDEX"

Annotation

The article presents an analysis of the activities of the best scientific and theological periodicals produced by regional scientific centers. The study covers the last three publications of the annual lists of the best Science index journals on the subject of Religion. Atheism" in the national elibrary database for the past three years (2022, 2023 and 2024). For the sake of objectivity, the information from these lists is supplemented with information about the presence of journals in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission and in the Unified State Register of Scientific Publications (Unified State List of Scientific Publications), which replaces the White List. The article is a continuation of the authors' extensive methodological work carried out since 2023 (See: Bochkov P., sv-k, Zhigalov M. I. Rating of seminar journals. An attempt to evaluate scientific periodicals of the theological seminaries of the Russian Orthodox Church based on the experience of studying their publications on the problems of the Old Believers // Ipatievsky Bulletin. Kostroma, 2023. No. 3 (23). pp. 139–191). The present study is a record of interim results in connection with various relevant innovations in the domestic scientometric system that have taken place recently. The article is accompanied by a rating table of the leading regional publications. The calculation methodology is open and based on an approach that has passed the test of time after the authors' first thematic publication.
