Annotation
Modern biblical exegetical writings often contain material that may contradict not only the tradition of the Christian Church, but also, most importantly, Christian dogma. Thus, for example, the dogma about God's creation of the world "out of nothing" can be denied. Some central stories about the Revelation remain incomprehensible. Moreover, when citing the texts of the Holy Scriptures, modern biblical scholars can deliberately change the words, thereby distorting the meaning. This comparative study is based on a methodological scheme, when the axiom for understanding the meaning of Scripture is the Tradition recognized by the Church, with which various modern exegetical traditions are compared.
Keywords
exegesis, Orthodox tradition, Catholic tradition, Protestant tradition, the book of Genesis.
