"CHURCH PRODUCTIONS": THE EXPERIENCE OF CREATING AND CONDUCTING A COURSE IN A THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Annotation

The article systematizes the experience of organizing and conducting the elective course "Church production" for full-time students at Kostroma Theological Seminary. The author of the program is Priest Georgy Andrianov (rector of the KTS at the time of the elective). For the first time in the history of Russian theological education the author of the article has undertaken the work to systematically show seminary students an important part of the provision of church life. As a result of the work carried out, he created the author's course "Church productions". The practical implementation of the course was carried out in 2022/23 and 2023/24 academic years. at the Kostroma Theological Seminary. At the beginning of the article, the theoretical foundations of the course are formulated, its purpose and objectives are shown, its relevance to the educational process is substantiated, and the expected learning outcomes are indicated. Then the author briefly talks about the visits of the KTS seminar groups to specific industries. The material is accompanied by photographs. The conclusion contains findings and recommendations based on practical experience. The author's theses were tested in the form of an in-person report at the International Scientific Conference "Three Centuries of Theological Education in Russia: Sources, Personalities, and Controversial Issues", held at the Vologda Theological Seminary on November 07, 2024.
